A story of passion for learning

Beautiful stories, like the one of Britanica Centre, are recognized from the first page.

The first chapter in the history of the Britanica Centre opens in 2005, when Carmen Olariu sets up a premium training centre in Bucharest. Experience and dedication helped her to position the Britanica Centre, from the beginning, among top English and foreign language providers, intensively demanded by the public. Later on, after obtaining the University of Cambridge certification in English teaching in the UK and specializing in educational management through the certification of IDLTM – International Diploma in Language Teaching Management in Barcelona, Carmen becomes an official evaluator of the Cambridge exam in Romania.

The story continues with the experience along with Euro Training and Education Center, the parent company that has achieved remarkable results: 1st place in Top Business Romania, in the cultural education category, in 2012.

The second chapter includes the beautiful period between 2008 and 2013, when the center takes over the name Bell Bucharest and becomes a representative of the Bell Educational Trust in Romania, an international organization founded in Cambridge with 50 years of experience and hundreds of thousands of students in 30 countries. In these years, Bell Bucharest runs the largest language training project in Romania for 2500 Petrom employees, and achieves a 100% success rate at Cambridge Exams for children.

In April 2013, when Bell Bucharest became Britanica, the former British partners said: “We are proud to have been associated with the school set up by Carmen Olariu. Our 5 year partnership has been extremely fruitful and we have enjoyed enormous time to see the school becoming more and more powerful. Her willingness to offer high-quality language training led to EAQUALS accreditation in 2012. We are convinced that the school will continue to be a centre of excellence in its independent work as Britanica Learning Centre. “(Bruce Milne, Bell Worldwide Programmes Manager)

The story continues today, so we invite you to meet those who have set the stack of being the “best teachers in town”!
